Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 August 2026

This policy explains how Clearsight Accounting Limited ("Clearsight", "we", "us") collects and uses personal information through this website. We keep it deliberately plain: we collect very little, we only use it to respond to you, and we never sell it.

Who we are

Clearsight Accounting Limited is the data controller for information collected through this website. Registered in England and Wales, company no. 15445817. Registered office: Dunleavy House, Dunleavy Drive, Cardiff, CF11 0SN. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@clearsight.group.

What we collect and why

When you use the contact form or book a discovery call, we collect the details you give us: typically your name, email address, phone number, company name and your message. We use them to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to set up our engagement with you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and taking steps to enter into a contract where you ask us to.

If you email or call us directly, we hold that correspondence for the same purposes.

Browsing the site itself requires no account and no personal details.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and what device they use. It sets cookies to distinguish visitors, and Google processes this data on our behalf. We do not use advertising cookies.

Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that submissions come from people rather than automated bots. It applies on the contact page only, and Google processes technical data (such as IP address and browser information) to make that assessment, subject to Google's own privacy policy.

You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser settings. The site works fully without them.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run this website: our hosting provider processes server logs, and our email delivery provider processes contact-form messages so they reach our inbox. These providers act on our instructions and do not use your information for their own purposes. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

We may disclose information where the law requires it, for example to regulators or law enforcement.

How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted. If you become a client, information is retained in line with our engagement terms and professional record-keeping obligations.

Your rights

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@clearsight.group. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or delete it
  • Object to or restrict our use of it
  • Ask for a copy in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent, where consent is the basis for processing

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change, and revise the date at the top when we do.
